Job Summary:
The Sales Application Engineer – HVAC is responsible for providing technical expertise and sales support for HVAC products and solutions. This role involves working closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering teams to identify client needs, develop customized HVAC solutions, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the HVAC sector.
- Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during customer interactions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Work with distributors, contractors, and end-users to promote HVAC solutions.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and closing sales deals.
Technical Support & Application Engineering:
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable HVAC products or solutions.
- Provide technical support in system design, selection, and application of HVAC equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues related to HVAC products.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Product Knowledge & Training:
- Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies, products, and market trends.
- Conduct training sessions for sales teams and clients on HVAC systems and applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback on product improvements and innovations.
Project Coordination & Documentation:
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and customer records.
- Support the development of HVAC specifications and proposals.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in HVAC sales, application engineering, or technical support.
- Experience in HVAC system design, product selection, and application is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and design principles.
- Familiarity with HVAC software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or similar.
- Understanding of ASHRAE, AHRI, and local HVAC regulations.
